When You Feel Spiritually Dry, and stubborn problems linger, Jesus Hasn’t Left You!

Hey friend,
Let’s be honest—sometimes it feels like you’re running on empty. You keep showing up, doing the right thing, serving others, praying, trying to hold it all together. And still… your soul feels dry. Quiet. Unseen.
Maybe you’ve been faithful in the background while others get the spotlight. Maybe you’ve cried out to Jesus, but all you hear is silence. You’ve worked hard, loved deeply, given your best—but you feel unnoticed, unrewarded, unsupported. There’s this quiet ache in your spirit that says, Is this it?

Has Jesus forgotten me? Has Jesus forgotten what He promised me? Does Jesus even care about what I’m going through? Will Jesus help me experience the abundant life He spoke of in John 10:10?
Let me tell you something that may be hard to feel right now—but it’s true: Jesus sees you. He hears you. He hasn’t walked away. He hasn’t gone silent. Jesus hasn’t forgotten you,
He remembers what He’s promised you and He cares about what you are going through. Jesus wants to help you experience the abundant life He spoke of in John 10:10, but oftentimes before you can even begin to experience what Jesus has promised you, difficult problems surface, that ensnare you, worry you, try to steal your focus and rob you of joy before you can even see anything that Jesus has promised you so that you will give up, quit, stop following Jesus and say, that this “Christianity thing doesn’t work”!

In a world that drains you, uses you up, and often leaves you feeling empty, Jesus offers Himself as your source of hope, strength, and abundance.
When your prayers feel hollow and your heart feels heavy, Jesus whispers, “Come to Me.” Not to religion. Not to routine. Come To Him. Jesus said, I will help you, trust me not your difficult circumstances that are oftentimes either caused by or set up by the evil 1. Jesus says in John 7:37, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.” That includes you. That includes your weariness, your disappointment, your deep longing to feel whole again.
Jesus doesn’t turn away dry hearts—He fills them. He doesn’t shame you for feeling empty—He invites you to be filled. He never said, “Come to Me when you have it all together.” He said, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
Maybe you haven’t felt that rest in a long time. Maybe you’ve been doing all the right things but still feel spiritually dry. Maybe you are tired of your problems, fed up with trying, praying, doing or giving.
But friend, dryness is not a sign of distance— Difficult problems doesn’t mean that Jesus has forgotten you or He is not helping you,

sometimes it’s the very place where Jesus meets you in the most intimate way. He doesn’t just want to fix your situation; He wants to refresh your soul.
You are not forgotten.
You are not alone.
And you are not empty—not when Jesus is your source.
Jesus is the One who fills the broken places, revives the tired spirit, and speaks life where silence has lingered. Even when no one claps for your effort, even when no one notices your faithfulness, Jesus does. And He never misses a single tear, a single prayer, a single moment of surrender.
So come back to Him—not with polished words or perfect faith, but with your honest heart. Sit at His feet. Rest in His presence. Let Him be enough again. He is still living water. He is still the Bread of Life. And He is still reaching for you.

This isn’t the end of your story. It’s a moment. And Jesus is in it with you.
Let Him carry you. Let Him fill you. Let Him be your strength when you’ve got nothing left to give.
Because with Jesus, you are never truly empty. You are not forgotten and you are not alone!

Remember, Jesus sees you.
Right now, you might be walking through a season that feels dry and heavy. Maybe your prayers feel like whispers into the void. You’ve waited long for change, for answers, for relief—but the problems persist. That old wound is still tender. That prayer hasn’t been answered in the way you hoped. And if you’re honest, you might even feel forgotten.
But hear this truth: Jesus hasn’t left you. He hasn’t forgotten you. He will help you!
So now, let’s pray—right where you are.
Jesus,
You know the burdens we carry. You see the one praying now—the one who’s weary from waiting, worn down by stubborn struggles, and wondering if anything is shifting beneath the surface. There’s disappointment. There’s confusion. There’s dryness where once there was fire. And yet… they’re still coming to You. Still hoping. Still believing. That alone is beautiful.
So right now, they surrender it all to You.
They lay the unanswered questions at Your feet.
They offer the lingering pain, the fatigue, the waiting, and the silence.
Not because they’ve given up—but because they trust You are still working.
Remind them that You are not absent.
You are the Savior who stays.
Even in the valley, even when the heart feels parched, You’re near.
You hear every whispered prayer and gather every quiet tear.
You are not indifferent—you are deeply involved.
And Jesus, we ask boldly now:
Breathe new life into their spirit.
Refresh their hope.
Reignite their faith.
Break through where there’s been delay.
Make a way in the wilderness.
Even when they don’t see it yet—move in and through their prayers.
Let them know You’re not only listening—You’re helping.
You’re guiding. You’re redeeming. You’re holding them steady until the breakthrough comes.
Because You always finish what You start.
And when they rise from this moment, Jesus, give them the courage to believe again—and to share this truth with someone else who needs it.
Put someone on their heart—someone dry, discouraged, and needing the reminder that You never walk away.
May they pass on the hope they’ve just received.
In Your faithful, ever-present name we pray,
Amen.
