Tired? Let Jesus give you “strength for your struggles”!

When your life feels heavy with problems, it can be a huge relief to turn to Jesus and put your life in his hands. It’s so easy to get discouraged and feel like you can’t get back up when times get tough. But one of the greatest gifts Jesus offers is hope, strength and encouragement even in your darkest days. If you’re tired of trying and just want a break from the pain, you can find it in Jesus’ arms. Here are some ideas to help you let Jesus help when you’re tired of trying, discouraged and/or depressed.

1. Pray for strength and peace

When you’re feeling overwhelmed and discouraged, it’s so important to turn to Jesus for strength and comfort. Prayer can be a powerful source of healing and peace in the midst of the storm. When the pain and sorrow become too much to bear, reach out to Jesus in prayer. Pour out your heart to him and ask for the strength and peace you need to get through.

2. Ask Jesus for comfort

It can also be very healing to turn to Jesus for comfort when your heart can no longer bear the weight of your pain and sorrow. Jesus understands what you’re going through and wants to help you. His arms offer a warm and inviting embrace that can bring immediate peace and comfort to a discouraged and weary soul. Whenever you’re feeling weary and overwhelmed, take a moment to ask Jesus for comfort and to surround you in his love.

3. Reflect on promises in the Bible

The Bible is a great source of hope and encouragement. The Bible contains so many promises from God that can help to give you strength and courage in the midst of hard times. Take a moment to reflect on a few of these promises when you’re feeling discouraged and down. God always keeps his promises and will come through for you, so never forget that.

4. Spend time in God’s presence

Whenever your heart is feeling down and discouraged, one of the best things to do is to spend some time in God’s presence. Through spending time listening to God and worshipping him, you’ll receive renewed strength and joy. His presence can fill you up from the inside out and help to lift your spirit. Take some time to get quiet and listen for God’s still small voice, it will bring so much comfort and courage.

5. Find strength and joy in Jesus

When you’re feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, one of the best things to do is to find strength and joy in Jesus. As Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” When you’re feeling down and discouraged, take a moment to pray and ask Jesus to fill you up with joy and strength. Jesus will provide this strength, so trust him and believe in his promises.

When you’re feeling down and discouraged, try to remember that there is still hope in Jesus. He has the power to bring healing, hope and joy to any situation no matter how dark and bleak it may seem. When you’re feeling overwhelmed and weary, turn to Jesus and let him be your strength and refuge. You don’t need to try to do it all alone, Jesus is here with you every step of the way.

Want Jesus to give you strength for your struggles? Let’s pray,

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your presence that never fails.

You are the God who always knows just what we need.

Though at times it feels like we are facing impossible mountains, you are always there to help us conquer them.

We come today asking that you give us renewed strength and peace.

Relieve us of any fear and hopelessness we may feel, and replace it with courage and joy.

We surrender our troubles to you, knowing that you will help us through them.

If we are tired of trying, direct us with your grace and mercy.

Guide us in our search for answers and understanding, so we may be lifted up out of our weariness.

Let us be open to the guidance you bring and take strength from the knowledge that you are watching over us.

We are reminded that you are patient and loving, and you will not forsake us in our time of need.

Help us to let go of our worries, knowing that your plans for us are good.

Protect us from feelings of discouragement or depression, and fill us with your courage and faith.

We trust you, and we thank you for all the wonderful things you do for us.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What the enemy meant for evil, Jesus will turn it around for your good and His Glory if you pray on, stay on and go on with God!
