Miracles are often hidden in your routine!

Miracles don’t always happen on mountaintops. They don’t always arrive during extraordinary moments of spiritual excitement. More often than we realize, Jesus chooses to reveal His presence and power in the middle of ordinary days, ordinary places, and ordinary routines.
Many people spend their lives waiting for a dramatic encounter with God, imagining that Jesus only moves during special seasons or life-changing moments. Yet Scripture shows us something different. Jesus delights in meeting people in the everyday moments of life. He often works through situations that seem routine, unnoticed, and unremarkable.
One of the clearest examples is found in Acts 3.
Peter and John were walking to the temple at the hour of prayer, following a familiar path they had likely traveled countless times before. Nothing about that day seemed extraordinary. There was no announcement that a miracle was about to take place. It appeared to be an ordinary walk on an ordinary day.
Yet Jesus had other plans.
As they approached the gate called Beautiful, they encountered a man who had been crippled since birth. For years he had been carried there to beg from those entering the temple. Day after day, people passed him. Year after year, he sat in the same place, hoping for help.
But what looked like another ordinary day was actually the day Jesus had prepared for a divine encounter.
Peter and John had no silver or gold to offer him. What they did have was something far greater: the living authority of Jesus Christ.
Peter said, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
Immediately, strength entered the man’s feet and ankles. He stood, walked, leaped, and began praising God. The miracle wasn’t ultimately about Peter or John. It was about Jesus. The same Jesus who had healed the sick, opened blind eyes, and raised the dead during His earthly ministry was still at work through His followers.
The miracle happened because Jesus was present.

Jesus Is Still Working in YOUR Ordinary Places
One of the most encouraging truths in Scripture is that Jesus never stopped working after His resurrection and ascension.
Acts is not merely the story of what the apostles did. It is the continuing story of what Jesus did through people who were surrendered to Him.
The risen Christ was directing, empowering, and accomplishing His purposes through His followers. The miracle at the Beautiful Gate was evidence that Jesus was alive and actively transforming lives.
The same is true today.
Jesus is still moving in homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, schools, grocery stores, hospitals, coffee shops, and countless other places that seem ordinary to us.
We often think of miracles as interruptions to everyday life. But from Heaven’s perspective, everyday life is often where Jesus chooses to reveal Himself.
The challenge is not that Jesus is absent.
The challenge is that we sometimes fail to recognize His presence.

The Beautiful Gate in Your Life
The gate where this miracle occurred was called Beautiful.
Yet for the crippled man, it probably did not feel beautiful. It was the place where he faced his limitations every day. It was a place of waiting, dependence, and uncertainty.
Yet Jesus chose that location as the setting for His power and grace.
In the same way, the “Beautiful Gate” in your life may not look beautiful at all.
It may be:
- The commute you make every day.
- The office where you spend most of your week.
- The waiting room where you’re sitting for answers.
- The grocery store checkout line.
- The family responsibilities that seem repetitive.
- The conversation you weren’t expecting to have.
What appears ordinary to you may be a place where Jesus is preparing to reveal His presence.
Nothing is insignificant when Jesus is involved.
The Savior who walked the roads of Galilee is still walking with His people today. He is not waiting for you only at major milestones. He is present in the ordinary moments that make up most of your life.

Looking for Jesus in the Everyday
Modern life trains us to move quickly and stay distracted.
We rush from one task to another. We fill quiet moments with screens, notifications, and endless streams of information. In doing so, we can become unaware of the ways Jesus is moving around us.
Yet throughout the Gospels, people experienced transformation because they noticed Jesus.
A blind man cried out when Jesus passed by.
A tax collector climbed a tree to see Jesus.
Fishermen left their nets when Jesus called them.
A woman reached through a crowd to touch the hem of His garment.
Everything changed when people recognized that Jesus was near.
The same invitation exists today.
Look up.
Slow down.
Turn your attention toward Jesus.
Ask Him to help you see your day through His eyes.
The ordinary moments of your life may become extraordinary when you recognize that Jesus is present within them.

Jesus Is Already at Work
Many believers spend time asking, “Jesus, what do You want me to do?”
That is a wonderful prayer.
But another powerful prayer is, “Jesus, show the way forward for me. Jesus, show me where You are already working.”
Jesus is constantly drawing people to Himself. He is healing wounds, restoring hope, opening hearts, and changing lives. He is at work in places we would never expect.
When we begin each day aware of His presence, we become more sensitive to His leading.
A simple prayer such as, “Jesus, help me see You today,” can transform the way we approach our routines.
Instead of seeing interruptions, we may discover divine appointments.
Instead of seeing inconveniences, we may see opportunities for grace.
Instead of seeing ordinary circumstances, we may begin to recognize the fingerprints of Jesus.
Your Ordinary Day Matters Because Jesus Is There
Many people underestimate the significance of everyday faithfulness.
We often think Jesus works only through extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. Yet Acts 3 reminds us that Jesus specializes in revealing His extraordinary power through ordinary moments.
The miracle began on a normal day, along a familiar road, during a routine trip to prayer.
But Jesus was there.
And His presence changed everything.
The same Jesus who transformed a beggar’s life at the Beautiful Gate is alive today.
He is still saving, healing, restoring, and transforming lives. He is still meeting people in unexpected places. He is still turning ordinary moments into testimonies of His grace.
So today, don’t rush through the routine.
Pause long enough to acknowledge Jesus.
Whisper His name.
Invite Him into your day.
Ask Him to open your eyes to His presence and His purposes.
You may discover that the miracle you’ve been looking for is not waiting somewhere far away.
It may be hidden within the ordinary moments where Jesus has been walking beside you all along.
Your day is more beautiful than you realize because Jesus is in it.
Let’s pray,
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for being present in every moment of my life. Thank You that You are not only the God of mountaintop experiences, but also the Savior who walks with me through ordinary days and everyday routines.
Jesus, open my eyes to see You more clearly. Help me recognize Your presence in the places I often overlook. When I am distracted, draw my attention back to You. When I am rushed, remind me to slow down and listen for Your voice.
Jesus, I believe that You are still working today just as You did in the days recorded in Scripture. You are still healing, restoring, providing, guiding, and transforming lives. Help me trust that You are at work even when I cannot immediately see what You are doing.
Jesus, be the center of my thoughts, my decisions, my conversations, and my daily activities. Walk with me through every meeting, every responsibility, every challenge, and every opportunity. Teach me to view my life through the lens of Your presence rather than my circumstances.
Where there is fear, fill me with Your peace.
Where there is uncertainty, fill me with Your wisdom.
Where there is weariness, fill me with Your strength.
Where there is brokenness, fill me with Your healing grace.
Jesus, help me become more aware of the people You place in my path. Let me see others through Your eyes and love them with Your compassion. Show me where You are working and give me the faith to follow wherever You lead.
Jesus, thank You for never leaving me and never forsaking me. Thank You that even the most ordinary day can become extraordinary because You are present within it.
Today I place my trust in You. I surrender my plans, my concerns, my future, and my life into Your hands. Let everything I do bring honor to You, and let my heart remain attentive to Your voice.
May I walk closely with You today and every day, knowing that You are my Savior, my Shepherd, my King, and my constant companion.
In Your holy and precious name, Jesus, I pray.
