No matter what, Jesus can help!

This one is for the brother or sister going through a rough patch.

There are times when life becomes too heavy, too confusing, or too challenging and we simply fall apart. We do our best to hold it together which ends up creating more damage, and then letting it out leads to consequences of holding it in.

One of the amazing things about the Creator is that He is in it with us. If you are in Christ Jesus, you know that the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you. So, when you are in your lowest of lows, God is with you down there.

God is the God of refuge and comfort which means you can run to Him in times of trouble, and He ought to be your first resort for help. Don’t you know He loves you? God sent His Son to save the world, do you remember why?

Any human who looks at the world’s current conditions would be like, ‘what is there to love?’ Well, God saw something in us. Whether we can understand it or not, His will is above ours and we must abide in it. So if God says “come to me all who are weary,”  that is what we all ought to do.

There is no need for us to suffer in the dark when we have the light of the world. Jesus is the light and there is no darkness in Him. So, if you feel like you’re being suffocated by negative emotions, I encourage you to reconnect with Jesus and follow His light. It is too easy to get distracted by this world which steers us to direct our sight away from the Shepherd. If this happens to you, I advise you to ask yourself, “do I trust the Lord?”

Psalms 91:14-16

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love Me. I will protect those who trust in My name. When they call on Me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them My salvation.”

It is written in His Word that He will rescue and protect those who trust Him. If you’ve been redeemed by the blood of the lamb, you’ve received the gift of salvation and you should rejoice! Do you remember the moment you confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead? I urge you to go back to that moment and dwell in it. The day you get overwhelmed by the things that are tearing you apart, I urge you to go back to that moment you became His.

Remember this life is only temporary and this home is not ours. One day, we will be with Him in a place where He will wipe every tear and take away death, sorrow, and pain. All of those things that hurt us will be gone forever.

Being called into the family of God is a gift we did not deserve and that’s the beauty of God’s perfect love. The way I repay Him is by leading others to Him. This promise of healing and salvation that has been given to you should be shared across all the nations until the end of the age.

Brother or sister, wipe away those tears, take refuge in your Heavenly Father’s shelter, and keep your eyes on the light. After all, those troubles you’re going through will bring you endurance and character for the next one. All glory to God! https://www1.cbn.com/prayer
