The other sideMark 4:35 – 41

Even when we follow Christ’s guidance, we may face hardships. For example, Jesus’s disciples were doing God’s will and when they took Him across the lake, for He had commanded them do do so. Yet they were buffeted by a dreadful tempest, and they seemed to be in danger of drowning. Can you beleive it? A storm – and all the whilst Christ was on board! 

It seems like a contradiction doesn’t it? Shouldn’t Jesus’s presence ensure on a boat when a storm shows up ensure a peaceful journey? Beleive it or not, not at all, Life at times becomes more difficult after a person has accepted Christ as Savior and Lord. Partnering with Christ, is not a sign me up and then life is easy peasy, oftentimes it is sign me up and then go through drama, tramua, betrayls, depression, disappointments, brokeness, sickness, anxiety, and uncertainity. But who would have ever though a storm would show up and Christ was on the boat with the folks He commanded to get on the boat and go to the other side? Right?

But a storm and Christ asleep? Can you imagine? How would you feel if that happened to you? That even deepens the perplexity.

All the whilst the storm was raging our Lord was silent. The disciples experienced frustrating delays and the mysteries of His dealings – the frustrating delays and mysteries of His dealings are too profound for us to understand. Yet we can be certain that His purpose in testing our faith is to strengthen it! God will surely fulfill His plan for us through our struggles, delays, mysteries of His dealings and storms and when His deliverance shows up, it will lead us to praise Him!

Unnecessary fears troubled the disciples because they did not trust Jesus’s words. If they had just thought for a moment, they would have remembered, that He had said, “let us go to the other side”, Mark 4:35
He didn’t say, let us go over to the other side” – Mark 4:35. 
He didn’t say let us go to the middle of the lake and be drowned. 

Our trust should be like that today, no matter what the trial, we may rest assured that God’s help has already been promised. God promises to take us through our hardship He’ll go with us to “the other side”! Until God answers your prayers, “🌟 Trust in God’s unwavering presence to guide you through the stormy seas of life, the delays and the mysteries of His dealings. Let Him walk with you to the other side, where peace and victory await! 🙏

Would you like Jesus Christ to walk with you to the “other side” of where God is guiding you to? If you do, let’s pray;

“Heavenly Father, we come before you in times of difficulty and uncertainty, seeking Your guidance and strength”. We invite Your Son, Jesus, to walk alongside us through the challenges we face, knowing that with Him by our side, we are never alone. May His presence bring comfort, peace, and clarity to our hearts and minds as we navigate these troubled waters.

Lord, we trust in Your divine plan and know that You are always with us, even in the darkest of times. Help us to lean on Jesus for courage and hope, knowing that He has conquered all things and will lead us safely to the other side.

Grant us the faith to see Your hand at work in our lives, the wisdom to discern Your will, and the strength to persevere through trials. May Jesus’ light shine brightly in our hearts, illuminating the path ahead and guiding us to a place of peace and victory.

We thank You, Lord, for Your unwavering love and grace, and for the promise that no matter what we face, we are never alone. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
