Trust God’s Mysterious Work, when difficult seasons insists upon persisting!

*“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”* — Jeremiah 29:11
Sometimes, life feels like a relentless storm—waves of problems crashing against us one after another. It feels as though each day presents a new challenge that weighs heavier on our hearts and minds. You might wake up feeling exhausted before the day even begins, consumed by worries, frustrations, and disappointments. The weight of your struggles might make it hard to breathe, to think clearly, to feel hopeful. And in those moments, the question arises: *Where is God in all of this?*

It’s easy to assume that when life is hard, God has either abandoned us or isn’t doing anything at all. But throughout Scripture, we see that God often works in mysterious ways—sometimes through our mess, our pain, and our frustration. In fact, difficult seasons can be the very soil where God’s miracles begin to grow. It is in our deepest struggles that the power of God shines the brightest, showing us that He is present even in the most unexpected places.
Consider the story of **Balaam and the Donkey** in the book of Numbers.
Balaam, a prophet, is on his way to curse Israel when God sends an angel to block his path. But Balaam can’t see the angel. Instead, it is the donkey he’s riding who sees the angel and refuses to move forward. Balaam, in a fit of frustration, strikes the donkey, unaware that God is trying to prevent him from going any further. And then, the miraculous happens: *The donkey speaks!*
“Why have you beaten me these three times?” the donkey asks. Balaam, bewildered, responds, and it is only then that God opens Balaam’s eyes, allowing him to see the angel standing in his path. Through an unlikely messenger—*a donkey*—God intervened in a moment of frustration and confusion.

Just like Balaam, we might find ourselves in situations where everything seems to be falling apart, and we wonder why things are so difficult. But sometimes, God uses the most unexpected circumstances to guide us. He doesn’t need perfect situations to perform His miracles. He can use any tool, even the most improbable, to achieve His purpose.
**The Miracle of Healing Amid the Mess**
Another powerful example comes from the book of Numbers as well, when the Israelites were plagued by venomous snakes after complaining against God. The people were desperate, and God gave them an unusual solution: *A bronze serpent on a pole.* Whoever looked at the serpent would be healed from their bites. It seemed strange—almost like an absurd thing to trust. Yet, in the midst of their pain, God provided a way for healing.
The Israelites were in the middle of a wilderness—literally and figuratively—and even in the midst of their rebellion and desperation, God chose to work through something as simple as a bronze snake. This teaches us that God doesn’t need to follow our logic or expectations when it comes to bringing healing or miracles into our lives. Sometimes the way forward is not what we expect, but if we trust Him, we will see His miraculous provision.
**Jesus Feeds the Multitudes: A Lesson in Miracles from Lack**
Then, of course, there’s the famous miracle of **Jesus feeding the five thousand** with five loaves and two fish. Imagine the scene: a vast crowd, hungry and weary, and no way to feed them. But what does Jesus do? He takes the little that is available—*insufficient food*—and multiplies it into more than enough to feed everyone. There were even twelve baskets left over. Jesus didn’t wait for the ideal conditions to perform this miracle. In fact, He used a lack of resources as the very opportunity to show that God can provide, even when things seem impossible.
In our own lives, we may feel like we have nothing left to offer, no strength to keep going, no answers to our problems. But when we place what we have—our little, our brokenness, our frustration—into God’s hands, He can multiply it in ways that exceed our wildest expectations. **God specializes in taking our insufficient and turning it into abundance.**

**Never Count Yourself Out**
When life feels overwhelming and discouragement seems unshakeable, don’t be quick to count yourself out. *God is at work in the middle of your mess.* He doesn’t need perfect circumstances to perform miracles. He doesn’t need everything to be lined up neatly in your life for His power to move. The challenges, the frustrations, the exhausting times are often the very things that make the ground fertile for God’s intervention.
You might feel that the story of your life is one of failure, discouragement, and defeat. But remember: **God often writes the best chapters of our stories in the most unexpected moments**. He can take the most unlikely people, the most difficult situations, and use them to display His glory.
When you feel like you’re stuck, discouraged, or even depressed, don’t let those feelings define you. Let them be the catalyst that pushes you toward God. Trust that He’s working, even when you can’t see it. Trust that His plan for you is greater than the struggles you’re facing right now. Even in the middle of your frustration, God is preparing a miracle. God is the God if the impossible. He is YOUR waymaker, your miracle worker, YOUR light in the darkness. He makes a way where there was not way. He changes times, seasons and people to accomplish His plans and or purposes whensoever He wills it to be. YOU are not out of options. YOU’RE Not stuck. YOU’RE not too old, you are mature, YOU are just right for what God wants to do next in your life. So get ready. Be ready. Stay prayed up, and expectant, when God is ready, He’s going to change the difficult seasons that insists upon persisting in YOUR life! God sees! He knows and He is going to fix that which concerns YOU!
– **You are not alone.** God sees your pain, and He is working in ways you cannot yet understand.
– **Your struggles are not in vain.** Difficulties can be the very soil for your miracles, your breakthroughs and your ways out.
– **Never give up.** God can use anything—*anyone*—to bring about His purpose in your life.

– **Trust God’s timing.
** Even if you can’t see the way forward, God knows exactly what He’s doing. Yeah, they thought they got you this time. Yeah they might not have helped you, may not have answered the phone and might have either hung up on you, changed their number, or changed your plans without your consent, oh, but God, who is rich in mercy and great in power is going to use what happened, to usher you into an avalanche of blessings, a door opening “suddenly”, a miracle showing up with no explanations, gifts manifesting without explanation, healing in mysterious ways, what you thought couldn’t speak speaking. If you follow the way God guides you and complete any instructions that God reveals to you, God can open A surplus of supply coming out of nowhere. He can reveal never seen before cures to ailments that actually work, and divine knowledge that could only be revealed by almighty God!
So, whatever it is you’re facing today, don’t give in to discouragement. God can take your mess and turn it into a message. He can take your brokenness and make it into a miracle. The very difficulties that seem to block your path may, in fact, be the stage for the greatest revelation of God’s power and love.
