Jesus learned God’s Timing is best,What about You?

Do you remember the story of Abraham and Sarah? God gave them a promise that they were going to have a child, but year after year nothing happened, so they decided to help God out,  Sarah came up with a plan, she told Abraham to sleep with one of the maids. That way they could have a baby, instead of being patient and waiting on God’s timing Abraham went along with Sarah’s plan.  Sure enough they had a baby boy, they were excited, they named him Ishmael. They said “Look!  This is the child God promised us!”

But God said “Abraham and Sarah, that’s not the child i promised you.  That’s something  you did on your own” do you know that Ishmael was a struggle to raise, but understand that what God orders he will pay for, what God gives birth to, He’ll always give Grace to take care of it.  But when we birth things in our own strength out of God’s timing, then He’s not obligated.

14 yrs later at God’s appointed time, Sarah gave birth to Isaac, the child God promised. Like Sarah, there will be times in life when things aren’t happening as fast as you’d like. you’ll be tempted to try do it on yor own, maybe in a relationship, the person you’re thinking of dating,  you know deep down they’re not good for you, they don treat you with respect, but youu’re afraid you wont meet someone else, No, if you’ll let go of Ishmael, Isaac will show up. The one God promised you is in the future, be patient and trust God to do it his way and in His timing.

God doesn’t need our help to make what He has promised come true, He has it all figured out,  He knows the end from the beginning, All we have to do is trust him, that’s what Jesus did. You don’t have to try to force doors open, you don’t have to try and make people like you or manipulate your way into a relationship, friendship or job, all you have to do is  keep honoring God with your life, stay in peace and trust his timing.  Wait for him, like Jesus did and wait in Him because he will open doors that no man can shut.  He’ll bring amazing people across your path. He’ll defeat enemies and get you where you are supposed to be.

Don’t go around birthing Ishmael’s when God wants to give you Isaac’s, don miss out on God’s best.  We have people in the bible that waited a very long time on God to make good on his promises, but they never gave up, so we encourage you  to hold on and never give up.  God’s time is the best. Be like Jesus and wait on God, He won’t fail, He knows what He’s doing. Be blessed and keep waiting on God’s timing.
