Learning the Bible Verses Even Without A Degree From The Seminary

There are a few fellow Christians out there that think they could go on without reading the Scriptures and still live a fulfilled life. And there are others who think they can pick up the Scriptures, give it a once over, and immediately call themselves followers of Christ who are dedicated to and knowledgeable in the ways of the Bible verses. But both is neither here nor there. The true followers of Christ are those who pick the Scriptures apart and apply it to their daily lives without losing its power or message.

There are several ways to study the courage Bible verses without even a degree in the seminary.

Here are a few examples:

1. You should ask yourself for whom is the verse about

There are times when it is much easier to identify with the lesson or message of the Scriptures verse if you know exactly who the verse is talking about. If you do not have any idea of the answer to this question, then the verse becomes more difficult to comprehend.

For instance, verse 29 of Chapter reads, “Behold the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world.” In this particular Scriptures verse, the “who” here is Jesus Christ. See the difference?

2. You should ask yourself what the verse is about

One other way is to ask yourself this question: “What’s being said here? What is this Scriptures verse all about?” If you can answer these questions then the Scriptures verse itself becomes much easier to comprehend.

But how do you do this exactly? It has to be said that knowing the answer to this question requires the reading of the entire chapter, sometimes even the chapter before or after it and, most of the time, the chapters before and after it.

This is in order for you to gain a good grasp of the concept of the Scriptures verse.

3. You should ask yourself when the verse is taking place

Ask yourself this another good question: “When is all this happening?” You have to dig a somewhat a deeper hole here compared to the first two questions to establish a good sense of the events you are learning about.

For example, there was an event in the Scriptures when the dove perched down on Jesus’ shoulder. When was this? Right after his baptism in the Jordan River.

These three basic tips should help you gain a better comprehension of the Scriptures even without a seminary degree.
